Easter Weekend & April Crop Addict

Holy Moly! I can't believe the weekend is here again already! *SIGH* Do you ever feel like the days are just ticking by faster than you can keep up?! We've been going crazy again this week making decisions on the house. It feels like I've only been home to sleep in my bed! YIKES! One of these days life will get back to normal, right? :)

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! Ours was FABULOUS! Very low-key, which I really loved.

On Saturday, we got together with my family at our house to dye Easter eggs with all the cousins. So busy, and so fun! Here is the group in action!
Cam was a little upset that Gramma wouldn't let her sip her Easter egg dye like soup. LOL!
Gramma and Grampa always bring surprises for the kids on the holidays. For Easter they got jammies and goodies.
Here's my family on Easter morning. I have been getting soooooo FRUSTRATED with my camera! I can't get a decent focus or exposure and I've been complaining like crazy to Kevin. It paid off because on Tuesday he let me order a new camera! Soooooo, Monday my new Rebel XTi should arrive! Woohooooo! I know there will be a learning curve, but I can't wait to get some decent, focused pictures of my kids on special days like this one!
Here I am trying to get a shot of the four kids together. (Another out of focus attempt! LOL!) Camryn WOULD NOT look up! So this is the best one I got!
She sure loved those Robin's Eggs! Couldn't take her eyes off them one second to look at mom for a picture! :)
Right before church I herded everyone to the front yard, hopeful for a shot of the four of them together. Camryn was a busy-girl again, and everyone else kept complaining that it was TOO BRIGHT! lol!
After church, Kevin ran to the lot to check on things and spent a little TOO MUCH time over there . . . especially since it was a holiday. I was a little frustrated at him. ;) But he made up for it by coming home and cooking an Easter dinner for our family. He did everything himself. Didn't even ask me to set the table! :)
Yep! It was a pretty casual Easter dinner! TV on in the background and everything! But atleast we were together as a family, and that was nice! :)

Sooooo, onto some scrappy stuff! The Crop Addict April kit has to be my favorite kit EVER that I have designed with for them. I LOVED the two paper lines featured and had a lot of fun with it. Here are my projects.
I snapped these fancy shots of my brother last fall on a family drive. I think he needs to become a musician so he can use these on his CD cover. Don't they look all serious? LOL!
Some more of Owen's photos from his One Year Old photoshoot (pictures by Gallery Photography of Bountiful, Utah). I used to call Owen my "Baby Guy" all the time. :)
Some sweet popsicle shots of my niece for her album.

Jensyn and her friend showing off their press-on nails. Remember those?! :) Gotta love 'em! And, finally, a simple baby card to send to my cousin who just had another baby boy! CONGRATS, Margaret and Kevin!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Bright Blue Paint

Spring is officially here today! YAY! Here are my four cuties (and our pup) out enjoying the sunshine.
Jensyn is such a great big sister to patiently pull her little sisters around in the wagon for as long as they wanted.
Mom said, "No, there isn't enough wind today to fly a kite." But Owen was determined.
He pulled and tugged, dragged, . . . and concentrated REAL HARD! :)
He even got his little sisters to help toss it in the air. (Gotta love the underwear shot! LOL!)
And guess what?! He proved mom WRONG! He was able to catch a little wind current blowing in between our house and our neighbors and got that kite to go UP! WOOHOO!
This was Camryn's first official day out in the warm weather. She's usually fast asleep for her afternoon nap and misses out on all the fun. NOT TODAY! See that smile on her face!

She wasn't going to slow down for any pictures for me either!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING, EVERYONE!!!!

I used the Noel Mignon Apple Blossom Kit on this layout about my most embarrassing moment. I added the star punchouts, letter stickers, and buttons from my stash. What?! You want to know what my most embarrassing moment is? You can't tell by my pictures? LOL! Here is what the journaling says:

My most embarrassing moment to date has to do with this bright blue paint I bought to create a road on the wall of Owen's room. I had the paint in my car when I ran Jensyn to the Goodell's for a playdate with Monica. We were new to the neighborhood and excited we were getting to know this cute family. When we arrived I told Jensyn to hop over the paint can and exit the car on my side so I could help her with the door on their hilly driveway. I will never forget the complete shock and embarrassment I felt when the can fell out of the car and bright blue paint started running down their new driveway. I tried to block the paint with my hands and yelled to Stan to come help me. Luckily, he was outside washing windows and had his garden hose handy. I just bawled and stuttered apologies the entire time he helped me clean it up. I thought I had ruined their home. Stan was so nice to me about it. Fortunately the paint cleaned up after scrubbing at it for 30 minutes or so. It felt like an eternity to me. To this day the Goodells are great friends of ours and I'm thankful they were able to get past my ditziness!

Bunnies and Circles

I'm so stinkin' EXCITED!!!!! This morning I found the best email in my box! I ran around my house clapping my hands and cheering and my husband looked at me like I was going crazy.

You see, I found out that I was 1 of 3 people chosen to be a Guest Design Team Member at the PENCIL LINES. WOOHOOOOOOO!!!! You have no IDEA how HONORED I am! Pencil Lines has one of the BEST Design Teams around. Each week I Ooooh and Aaaaah over what those gals create, and I can't believe that they'll be using MY SKETCH in April! HECK YA! Can't wait to see all the amazing things they do with it. :) :) :) Thanks for letting me share!

Our local TV station had this recipe on one of their shows yesterday. It's so flippin' cute! I NEED to make this for my family for Easter. It's Bunny Bread! They used it to hold veggie dip, but I think it would be cute by itself too! Just thought I would pass it along!
Veggie Rabbit
Ingredients:
2 Loaves Rhodes™ Bread Dough, thawed but still cold
2 sliced almonds
2 large raisins
1 egg, beaten

Method:
Cut one loaf of bread into 1/4 and 3/4 portions. Shape 3/4 portion into egg shape for body and place on a large sprayed baking sheet. Shape 1/4 portion into pear shape and place above body for head. Clip side whiskers with scissors. Cut second loaf in half. Cut one half in half again for ears and roll into two 16-inch ropes. Fold together and place on top of head.
With remaining half of loaf, divide dough in half. Take one half and cut into two pieces. Shape into 2 large thumper feet and place under bunny. Clip toes. Divide last piece of dough into 1/3 and 2/3 portions. Divide 2/3 portion into two hands and place on side of body and clip fingers. Divide remaining 1/3 dough into two large balls and one small ball. Place two large balls on face for cheeks and one small ball for nose.
Place 2 raisins on face for eyes and 2 almonds for teeth. Brush everything with beaten egg, even the teeth. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Let rise 15-30 minutes. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F 30 minutes or until browned. Let cool. Hollow out tummy and fill with your favorite dip.

Card Challenge 2 is up at Colorstory Challenge. And here is the card I made following Kim's awesome tutorial. The center is a clear transparency. I just love the way the patterned paper on the inside of the card peeks through. Come on over and create a card with us! I can't wait to see your spin on this challenge!

Catch Up Post

The house is coming along SO GREAT! I thought I would share a few photos with you, just 'cause I'm so dang excited at seeing it all start to come together!

These pictures were taken last Friday while they were sheetrocking. It's a little messy, but you get the idea.

This is a photo looking up towards the 2nd floor from our entry way. The door to my Scrap Room is on the left. LOVE how much sunlight streams into that room! It will be so great for scrapping!

This picture looks from the Great Room into the Kitchen and Nook. Love the size of this area! I think it will be great for entertaining.
This is on the 2nd story looking towards my Scrap Room door.
Okay! This is my Scrap Room! Since I shared computer-generated photos of it with you awhile back, I thought you might like to see it starting to take shape in real life! WOOHOO! This photo was taken standing in the Stamp Area looking back towards the desk and bonus room areas.
And here is a view of it looking back the opposite way . . . from the Bonus Room area looking back towards the sink area. :) :) :) It makes me so happy to see my space coming together! Is it totally bad that this is the room I'm the most excited about?! LOL!
And then one more thing . . . here is a couple of photos of our front door being constructed in the woodshop. We totally copied a door off another home, but I LOVE IT! It should be installed this Friday.

***************************************
Alright, . . . Thanks for letting me share! I just thought you might like to see what is occupying so much of my time lately. :)
Awhile back my sweet friend and fellow DT member at BackPorch Memories, Tami Floyd Tami Floyd, tagged me. Be sure and check out her blog. I LOVE her style! Every page she does is just bursting with great design! I could honestly scraplift every single thing she does. LOVE HER WORK! ;)
So here are 7 More Random Things about me.
1) You know those little foil lids on yogurt, honey mustard sauce, etc. I have a weird habit of having to lick those lids before throwing them away. *blush, blush*
2) I have a total weakness for cakes and cupcakes. I think it's the frosting factor. Yep! I'm the one that begs for the piece of cake with the huge flower on it. YUM! :)
3) I have bad feet. I'm only 32 years old and I have to wear old lady shoes (I usually go with Crocs or Tennies with my arch supports inside) because both of my feet have terrible heel spurs. I'm almost to the point of wanting to have surgery on both of them because they keep bothering me so bad. So if you see me limping around, that's why. I'm falling apart. :(
4) I can't stand shopping for clothes. Don't get me wrong, I love cute clothes, but I am so about jeans and layered t-shirts with a cute cut. If I find some I like, I buy them in every color instead of trying on different things.
5) I think I'm addicted to the internet. I shamelessly hit 15+ sites every day. It's a part of my
morning routine.
6) I'm terrible about washing my face and taking out my contacts before I go to bed. Maybe if I wouldn't stay up so late scrapping, I would be awake enough to care more about it instead of just melting into bed each night.
7) I enjoy smelling my clear acrylic stamps. :)
So there you have it! I think that was more like 7 confessions instead of 7 facts. LOL! Also, I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to skip tagging people again. I'm just too lazy and crazy busy to do it. Sorry. :(

Now to leave you with a little scrappiness. This is one more layout using the gorgeous Noel Mignon Apple Blossom Kit. And guess what . . . she only has 4 more left! Run! Don't walk! You NEED this kit! ;) Have a great night!

Happy St. Patrick's Day & More Apple Blossom!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This morning Pat the Leprechaun visited our home and left clues for the kids to follow around the house on a treasure hunt. It was so funny to hear them racing around. At the end of their hunt they found a green bin for each of them filled with all kinds of green & gold goodies. YAY!

About a year ago I downloaded a program from Living Tree that writes clues for Treasure Hunts and it makes things like this A LOT easier. Come in handy for birthday parties, too! Here's a link if you're interested. http://www.riddleme.net/

Remember the heart pizza my sweet friend, Charity, brought by to our family on Valentine's Day? Well, this morning she showed up on my doorstep with a box filled with green donuts. Seriously, Charity, you're making me look bad! ;) You're such a flippin' sweet friend! THANK YOU!!!!

Now, it's time to get geared up for Easter! YIKES!!!! I'm sooooo behind!

I told you I couldn't keep my hands off this kit! ;) Here are two more layouts from me!

I couldn't help but pick up the Madeline Kit in the awesome Spring Cleaning Sale. I had fun mixing a little bit of the Madeline in with the Apple Blossom Kit on this layout of my daughter. (The green and blue buttons are from my stash.)Also for this layout I used a great sketch I found on http://gettinsketchy.blogspot.com/ Fun sketch!

(Just a little FYI: Yesterday, Noel posted on Willow Traders that there 7 kits left of the Hopscotch and Apple Blossom kits!!!! So, if you were on the fence about them, I'd run and grab one before they sell out.)
