10+ New Pets

When we moved to our new house, we discovered that we have about 10+ new pets that live here. :D

Deer! Or Beer! Beer! if you're Camryn watching them out the window. LOL!
The babies have a lot of fun chasing each other around the yard. They remind me of little puppies tumbling, crouching, and pouncing after each other. It's so cute!

Kevin was a little worried they would ruin the new grass munching and playing on it, so we had to chase them off a few times until the grass could take root. But now they are welcome to come and go where they please. We even found tracks on the trampoline one day . . . now wouldn't have that been a sight!?! LOL!

Here are a few more layouts that I have worked on this week. This first one was done using scraps from the November Work In Progress Project Kit. I added the MM diecut paper and butterfly from a previous kit. The green string and stamp are from my stash.
The kids were so happy to have a bunch of leaves to play with in our new yard. You should've seen the smiles on their faces. :D Pretty fun!
I created this one for a challenge at JustCre8 using a Zune advertisement as inspiration. I loved the colors, the shapes, the "twinkles", and the silhouette shapes tucked into the swirls in the ad.

I translated it to my layout pretty literally, using a black mat around my photo and then swirls coming off of it. I used a bunch of my stash creating this layout and it felt so GOOD to use some of that stuff up. :D It still cracks me that paper and brads can be perceived as "old". LOL! They're still cute to me! The swirls are Fancy Pants chipboard Swirls, papers are by Anna Griffin and We R Memory Keepers. I used Stickles for the twinkles and then added some Around the Block brads and a MM Metal heart among the swirls as the "silhouettes" from the ad. The title block is a Technique Tuesday stamp. I cut it out and mounted it to a transparency. I then adhered the letter stickers to the transparency so that they could float above the swirls.

I really like how it turned out! I need to play with ads more often! Very fun!

Have a great day!

  4. The layout is great and it is wonderful how each little part of the world has it's own magic. It must be wonderful living so close to nature. As long as the pets don't become "pests" :)
