I created this page for Cuttlebug Challenge #69 with the Noel Mignon Object of My Affection kit, but this time I decided to play with a masking technique and Creme de Rouge Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels. (Thank you, Tattered Angels, for sponsoring the design team for this challenge!)



I used a template by Crafter's Workshop to create the Artisan shape on my background. I also used the Glimmer Mist to dye the cream trim from the kit. The chipboard hearts are painted with Shimmerz Pink Pearlz and then embossed with an exclusive HSN Cuttlebug folder.



Last year on Valentine's Day my daughter, Maryn, came home from Kindergarten with a sack full of cards and treats. She was excited to spread them all out on the floor and start sifting through her treasures when she noticed how sad her little sister was that SHE didn't have any cards and treats. Maryn dug into her sack and found a handmade card and sucker and gave it to Camryn. Camryn was delighted and carried the card around with her the rest of the day. This sweet little random act of kindness from an older sister to a younger one was something I wanted to make sure I recorded. Even though it's just a quick random snapshot, it captures a very precious memory. :)
