This week the Be Inspired challenge at Cuttlebug Challenge Blog is to make ATC cards with hearts/flowers . . . but since I'm the scrapbooker of the bunch . . . I made a layout with lots of hearts. :)
I actually changed my layout a little bit, from the one I submitted for the blog. Do you ever do that?! Stare at your page a bit more and decide to make a few changes? :) Well, that's what I did on this one. I trimmed my entire page and mounted it onto cream cardstock to give it a more solid, contained feel . . . and then I darkened my embossed image with some Shimmerz Spritz.
On this page, I used the Heart Blocks embossing folder to create a subtle background piece to balance out my single photograph. I used Bed Of Roses Spritz by Shimmerz Paints to spray my embossing folder (NOT the paper) before embossing. I love the way the Spritz pooled into the deeper areas of the image creating a variety of interesting shades of pink.
Page created using the Noel Mignon OBJECT OF MY AFFECTION kit.
Thanks so much for coming by!
