Noel Mignon Core Curriculum Pages

I have a couple more pages to share with you today using the Noel Mignon Core Curriculum kit. :)

List Maker
- I'm a list maker . . . and I've recently discovered that my daughter is too! For the first day of school, my daughter had written out a darling list of things she didn't want to forget and things she needed to do to get ready. I found it sitting in her room after she had left for the day and swiped it to include on this page. Hehehehe! :)

On a recent trip to the dollar store, I was drawn to the wall full of kitchen towels. I decided to grab a few to play with on my pages. Here I used a section of one as a layer on my page, stitching it to hold it in place.

I ran another one through my die cut machine to create these cute layered flowers. I can't wait to make more! :)

Stream - My son and his buddies love to explore the stream next to our home. They love to dig for worms, catch bugs, build bridges and collect rocks. I just love how "down and dirty" they look in these pictures! LOL!

I didn't have the right letters left over on my sticker sheet to spell my title, so I dug through my stash and found some orphaned chipboard letters to fill in the empty spaces. :)

I again used a dollar store kitchen towel to create the star accents on this page. I also used the edge of one as a layer along the bottom of my photo grouping.

Two More MLS Cards

Here are two more My Little Shoebox "Imagine a Forest" cards.

For this first card, I used the Hero Arts Scattered Leaves Border stamp to create the leaves. I used the Simple & Basic Alphabet for the sentiment.

I remembered that I had this cute Hero Arts mushroom stamp in my stash, and couldn't resist using it to make a little home for the squirrels in the MLS paper. :) I stamped the image several times on different papers, cut the different pieces out, and then put them together. The "smile" sentiment is from the free sticker sheet included in the new MLS Mini Letter Stickers.

Finally, here is one more sketch for you. I don't have a sample page to go with it today, but I thought you might like a new sketch to kick off your weekend. :)

Have a good one!

My Little Shoebox & Hero Arts Stamps

This month at My Little Shoebox we were lucky to get to do a product swap with Hero Arts Stamps! I KNOW!!! WOW!!!! :D :D :D

I worked with My Little Shoebox's "Imagine a Forest" line and chose these Hero Arts stamps to go along with them.

Scattered Leaf Border - #K5230

Dots & Flowers - #S5213

Simple & Basic Alphabet - CL312

Here are 4 layouts and a card that I created combining these super fun products.

My Family Tree is Full of Nuts - We love to go out to eat together as a family. These silly shots were taken at Texas Roadhouse this past summer when the kids discovered my camera hiding in my purse. :)

It's a little hard to tell becauseu I covered it up with my photos, but I used Bed of Roses Spritz and Olive Branch Spritz by Shimmerz on the cream plaid paper. :)

Hula Girl - Camryn received a hula girl set for her birthday from her Grandma and Grandpa Eubank who are serving an LDS Mission in Hawaii. She looked so cute in that little coconut bra and immediately started swishing her hips the second we put the skirt on her! I used the Dots & Flowers background stamp to create the bright pink circle accent. I used the Simple & Basic Alpha as part of the title. The letter stickers are by K & Company. The flowers are by Prima.

Little Girls - When you have a house full of little girls, you tend to stumble into lots of little "scenes" set up all over the house. I love these toy vignettes and started taking pictures of them at the beginning of the summer. They always make me smile and I know that someday I will miss having them around. :)

I used the Dots & Flowers Background stamp here again to make another circle accent. The words "Summer 2009" were created with the Hero Arts Simple & Basic Alphabet.

To make the American Crafts Thickers shine I coated them with Choc-o-lat Shimmerz paint. The background also gets a hint of shimmer with Baby's Breath Spritz by Shimmerz. I love the way it shows up on the dark brown cardstock!

Sweet Sisters - These little cuties are my sister's girls. I used the Scattered Leaf Border in several colors, then cut out the leaves by hand to make accents to go around the title and journal block. The title was created with the Simple & Basic Alphabet stamps.

Nuts 4 You Card - This was such a fun little card to make . . . and I'm thinking these would be really fun to do for Valentine's Day in February! The pink/cream background was created using the Dots & Flowers Background stamp by Hero Arts. The sentiment was created using the Simple & Basic Alphabet. That cute ribbon is by Adornit.

I do have one more card to share with you, but that will have to wait until tomorrow when I can get a decent picture of it in the sunlight. :)

Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you again soon!

Scrap Room at Scrapbook Trends

I know, I know . . . three posts in one day is a little excessive! Tee Heee!

But I also wanted to add that my Scrapbook Room is being featured today on the Scrapbook Trends blog. :D :D :D

I LOOOOOVE this magazine . . . and I keep joking that this is probably the closest I will ever get to being published in it. LOL! So I will celebrate this little victory! ;)

You can check out the Scrapbook Trends Blog Post HERE.

Thanks for letting me share!

Ooh La La!

Have you seen the two Ooh La La! lines by My Mind's Eye? They are gorgeous and the best part is there is a collection For Her and one For Him! :)

Be sure to stop over to the My Mind's Eye blog this week and leave a comment for a chance to win one of these gorgeous collections!

Ooh La La! For Her

Ooh La La! For Him

Birthday Girl - Camryn opening up her presents on her birthday morning. For full directions on putting this page together, visit THIS My Mind's Eye blog post and click on the "Instructions: Birthday Girl" below the page.

Little Lady - After opening her birthday presents, Camryn immediately put on her new bride dress-up and started talking on her Tinker Bell phone. What a ham! -- Background sprayed with Bed of Roses Spritz by Shimmerz

And here is my sketch that I created this page from.

Squirrel Relocation Program - Remember me blogging about those cute squirrels in our yard awhile back? Well, after awhile we figured out they weren't quite so cute when they got to be QUITE destructive. LOL! We bought a "nice" trap (No! We did not kill them!) and one-by-one relocated them to the mountainside by our home. Owen REALLY got into this! So if you need to hire him, just let me know! LOL! ;)

I loved the gray and blue tones in these papers balanced with the warm golds. It reminded me of the silver and gold tones in metal and decided to bring out some bookplates from my stash to add as page accents. :)

I have to say . . . I'm a little sad posting these pages because it means my month Guest Designing at My Mind's Eye has officially come to an end. :( I've had so much fun and I want to thank everyone at My Mind's Eye for having me! Thank you again to Amber and Jason for all your help! ;) You can bet that I will still be stalking the blog and participating in the fun challenges on the blog. I *HEART* My Mind's Eye!!!

Thanks for coming by!

I wanted to share with you a page that I did using the new Shimmerz.

I created this page using the Noel Mignon Core Curriculum kit. I used the Melissa Frances Die Cut journal blocks as a mask before building my page. I attached them lightly to my page and then misted over them using Rock-a-fella Blue Spritz by Shimmerz. After a few minutes when my page was dry, I doodled around the resulting shape with a black pen for more definition. After building my page, I used these two masked areas as homes for my title and journaling.

As a final touch I added a bit of shine to the paper flowers using Antique Lace Shimmerz paint.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Shimmerz blog to get started on the hop! ;)
