My Little Shoebox & Core'dinations Cardstock

Wow! THANK YOU for all the kind words about my "Thought Process" post. I didn't think all of you would like it that much . . . infact, I was a little shy about doing it in the first place because I didn't want it to come off as, "Oh, I'm so wonderful! You absolutely NEED to know how I think" NOT at all!!! Infact, I felt the complete opposite . . . a little sheepish and insecure . . . wondering if all of you out there will think I'm a total loon! LOL! Anyway, really . . . THANKS so much for your warm response . . . I'll try and do it again sometime soon. ;)

I thought you might like to know that My Little Shoebox is sponsoring a sketch contest at Page Maps! The winner will receive a complete set of their new "Neighborhood" collection (includes paper, die-cuts, chip alphabet, glazed letters, transparency and minis). Just create a layout based on this sketch -- any size, any orientation, any way you want to interpret it (using any products you would like). The contest ends at midnight (MST) Sunday, June 28, 2009. You can read more about it HERE on the PageMaps site to see how to enter.

Here's the sketch:

Speaking of My Little Shoebox, I have a few layouts to share with you today. We were co-sponsored this month by Core'dinations Cardstock and they sent us some of their wodnerful products to play with alongside our My Little Shoebox. This month I created my projects with the Enjoy Life Collection. The Core'dinations collections that I used with it are The Chocolate Box collection and the Vintage Collection (Classic Sunshine). LOVE this stuff! This is the first time I've played with these cardstocks and they were really FUN!

I love the way the Vintage Collection has the look of a washed denim. Very fun for a casual page!

On this page, I used a Crafter's Workshop template to emboss the dots onto the Chocolate Box cardstock and then sanded them to reveal the color core of the cardstock underneath.

I mounted my photos onto a piece of Chocolate Box cardstock and then tore away one edge to reveal the blue core underneath. I also used a Martha Stewart edge punch on a blue sheet from the Vintage Collection and sanded at the embossed area to reveal the lighter blue underneath. Fun, huh?!!! :)

I still have a project in the works with this fun cardstock, so watch for that in a few day! :)

Thanks for coming by! Enjoy your weekend!
Jana
