So Sketchy Catch-Up

I'm still working on getting my files and programs set up on my computer (why aren't there more hours in the day!). Thanks to Kevin for taking the time to help me! Vista is forcing me to have to upgrade the programs that I've been using. I use to work as a Graphic Designer/Typesetter 10 years ago (don't be impressed, it was 10 years ago! LOL!) and primarily used PageMaker & Photoshop for creating documents. I LOVE PageMaker. But it looks like I'm going to have to learn something else. I feel like an old-fogey set in my comfortable ways, who doesn't want to have to change. LOL! Who knows, maybe I'll like whatever it is better.

Here are a few So Sketchy layouts that I created in September. They are just getting uploaded to the So Sketchy blog now (Ally was busy moving, too! Only she was moving across Canada, WOW!), so I thought I would share them with you today. :D

The Hotel Birthday Supplies:Patterned Papers: Making Memories, Melissa Frances; Journal Spot: Making Memories; American Crafts Velvet Thickers; Basic Grey buttons; Butterfly: Sweet Pea Scraps Kit; Other: Embroidery Floss

Silly Girl Supplies: Patterned Paper, Thicker Accents, Various DooDads: American Crafts; Letter Stickers: Making Memories, Jenni Bowlin and Adornit; Other: Embroidery Floss

Have a great weekend!
Jana

  1. Use Adobe InDesign, it took the place of Pagemaker. And, there is a setting in it where you can display the Pagemaker tools, which will help you have a smoother transition. Have fun. I love, love InDesign.

Great layouts. It's so refreshing to see more than one picture on a page.

Can i ask what type of printer you have? You said you always print your own at home and your photos are always beautiful.

  5. chrispea - Thank you so much for telling me about InDesign! WooHOOOO! I'm sooooo all over that! ;)

Karen - The printer I use is the Epson Stylus Photo R380. LOVE it! :D I've always loved the quality of Epson's stuff. I use Epson inks that I buy in bulk on ebay, and print on CostCo Professional Glossy Inkjet Photo Paper.
