I-Phone Snapshot

I recently heard about the book called The Best Camera is the One That Is With You by Chase Jarvis. I haven't read the book, but just the title changed my attitude about using my camera phone to snap pictures.

In my mind, I would think to myself, "Oh, I don't want to snap a picture using my camera phone. It will be muddy and blurry and it won't be worth scrapping." I realize now I was wrong. It doesn't matter if the pictures you take with your camera phone are of poor quality, they still contain special memories. :)

Here is a page I created for the Noel Mignon Summer Layout Tag (it's like playing the game "Telephone" but with scrapping) using the Noel Mignon Playdate kit (sorry, sold out). It's just a quick snapshot of my kids outside of a restaurant, but it holds a special spot in my heart because it is very rare that I get all four of my kids in a picture. Besides that . . . this was one of those nights that I had an epiphany of how quickly my kids are changing this year (Jensyn is going to junior high now) and that I need to cherish every single mundane minute of our time together. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. That's good advice! I wouldn't have thought to use my phone for taking pictures to scrapbook.

  5. I totally love that, I often think I'll get crappy pics from my camera so don't bother taking it around with me - into my bag it goes!! :D

  6. I can't believe that great pic came from your phone! Mine are really blurry and horrible. Thanks for inspiring me to use them anyway! Great layout, as always!

  7. This is another gorgeous page Jana! As one of the previous ladies said, if you hadn't mentioned you used your camera phone, I would have been none the wiser. LOVE how you use banners so much on your pages :-)
