Winter CHA 2010 Projects for ProvoCraft Cuttlebug

Are you ready for more CHA projects?! I was thrilled for the opportunity to create some projects for the ProvoCraft booth at Winter CHA 2010. A BIG THANK YOU to Maggie and ProvoCraft for such a fun assignment and a special THANK YOU to Bella Blvd. for sending me the Oh-So-Cute "Flirty" collection to work with for these projects. What a perfect combination! :) I also used lots of yummy Core'dinations Cardstock . :)

I worked with the existing folders and dies for these projects, but you should just see what ProvoCraft has in store for THIS YEAR!!! CLICK HERE to see the new embossing folders (especially LOVING the Seeing Spots, Polka Dots, Measure for Measure, and Typeset folders!). CLICK HERE to see the new Embossing Plus Folders (these CUT and EMBOSS at the same time. WOW!). And CLICK HERE to see the Cuttlebug Quilling sets. Don't those flowers look fun?!!! AND on top of all that they are coming out with a new machine called CRICUT CAKE that cuts designs for decorating cakes and other confections. Wow! Wow! Wow!

Sweet Treats by Jana Eubank

On this page I pulled out several of my Cuttlebug dies to create the title and heart accents. The title is created with the Red Tag Sale Alphabet. The hearts are created with Concentric Hearts and the 2X2 Hearts dies. I used the Heart Blocks, Swiss Dots, and Frills Border embossing folders here as well.

Hugs & Kisses Tic Tac Toe by Jana Eubank

When I think of Valentine's Day, I think of kisses and hugs a.k.a. X's and O's. I thought it would be a fun project to create a Hugs & Kisses Tic Tac Toe game for the little ones in my life. :) I used the Cuttlebug Red Tag Sale Alphabet and 2X2 Hearts dies to create the title and markers. The background of the Tic Tac Toe board is embossed with the embossing folder from the Love Language Combo set.

XOXO Card by Jana Eubank

I wanted to create a soft, monochromatic card for Valentine's Day. I chose pink and white as my color scheme. The background was created by spritzing the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder with Bed of Roses Spritz by Shimmerz (not the paper). Next I placed the cardstock into the folder and ran it through the machine. The effect is really fun and different as the spray ink settles into different areas of the folder creating several shades of pink.

The embossed stamp image came from the set that was included with my Cuttlebug machine when I purchased it. I painted the image with Opal Shimmerz paint by Shimmerz leaving the recessed areas white.

Finally, I added some more embossed Frills as a base to my pink ribbon.

Things We Love Mini Album by Jana Eubank

I thought it would be fun to create a small book recording all the things my family loves right now. I chose to use several embossing folders on this project to give each page it's very own "personality" . . . just like each individual in my family.

On the cover I used the Textile Hearts Combo set and the Swiss Dots embossing folder (on the letter stickers). I also used the Frills Borders to create the purple border piece.
On the left page I used the Floral Fantasy embossing folder. On the right, I used the embossing folder from the With Gratitude Combo set.
Here I used Swiss Dots on the left, and the Oh My Crafts! Checkerboard folder on the right. I used the Frills borders to create the white border accent.
The left page here is embossed with D'vine Swirl, and the page on the right is embossed with Diamonds in the Rough.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Hopefully, I've inspired you to create some Valentine projects of your very own. :)

See you next time!

  16. I keep coming back to this card. I really love the soft pinks on the background and while I don't like to put ink on my folders because I hate cleaning them, I think glimmer mist would be ok to try. Will probably do it for this week's project.
