I have a few more projects to share with you using the My Little Shoebox "Robots Unplugged" collection. This is the time of month where you will start seeing the My Little Shoebox blog updated a lot as all the design team projects start rolling in so be sure and check it often over the next couple of weeks! :D :D :D
FAT CAT'S ARCADE- For my son's birthday he chose to go to a place called Fat Cat's here in Utah. I hadn't scrapped these yet because I was having a really tough time finding papers that worked with the dark photos and psychedelic colors of the arcade games. Robots Unplugged to the rescue!!!! I love how these pictures came together with these papers!!!
I love the way the Sprinkle Glazed Letter stickers by My Little Shoebox looked like they were lit up. I added Glossy Accents and mini glass micro-beads to the chipboard letters to continue that look. I also used Fruit Punch Stickles on the robot to make him "blink". :D
I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder "Stitched Circles" on the circle diecut and then sanded away the ink on the paper to reveal the white core below. It's a little hard to see, but I also used the "Distressed Stripes" Cuttlebug folder on the star paper behind the photos to add a bit of texture. :)
And Pixie Dust Blingz by Shimmerz on the background stars to make them "twinkle". :D
BIRTHDAY BLUR - This month the Design Team was asked to scraplift a page from one of our very own designers, Michelle Lanning. This is the page by Michelle that I was assigned to lift. Michelle is a great friend of mine and an INCREDIBLE designer!!! I LOVE to study her pages and was thrilled for the chance to lift her! :D :D :D
And here is my take on it. -- The pictures I take of the kids opening their birthday presents in the morning ALWAYS turn out cruddy. I really need to practice low-light situations. *sigh!* One of these days I'll get it. But in the meantime, my kids will have blurry, out-of-focus pictures to remember these mornings by. LOL!
Finally, I have a few robot cards for you! :D I think the Meep! Meep! one would be so fun for a birthday card. Again, I accented the robots with lots of Pixie Dust Blingz by Shimmerz to make them look like they were lit up and blinking.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Jana
