Happy Monday! Hopefully most of you in the US have the day off and are enjoying a long weekend with your friends and family! :) We had family over on Saturday night, and now today we are just taking it easy.
We've been so busy this past month with kids' birthdays, parties, school starting and last minute summer vacations, it's nice to have a day to relax and catch our breath. :) I got sick with a cold last Monday (the reason I haven't been blogging very much) and just can't seem to shake it. I'm just glad it's not getting any worse, but I tell ya! I'm ready to get back to "normal" LOL! All this sniffling and coughing is driving me bonkers!

Today is my first day Guest Designing on the My Mind's Eye blog. :D :D :D Yep! Bliss! I've been playing with the stack of goodies they gave me and I seriously can't stop! LOL! :D :D :D I love how versatile their collections are and I just keep thinking of new pages I want to create with them.
I thought I would share with you today, the six pages the six pages that are featured on the My Mind's Eye blog today. If you'd like to see the images larger just click on them. :)
Big Attitude - When I saw the title block "Big Attitude" I thought it would make a really fun title for a back-to-school page of Owen. He always amazes me when a new school year starts. He is never nervous to go back . . . just excited to see his friends again and embark on another new adventure. :)
Camping - I loved this paper and knew exactly what I wanted to scrap with it the minute I saw it! I cut the top in a wavy line to mimic the line of the grass on the paper. To allow the strip of patterned paper to run across the page without covering up the cute tree design, I used my Coluzzle Circle template to cut around the tree. I added a chipboard tree and popped the car punchout for a bit of dimension along the bottom of the page.
Cooling Off - I used the Coluzzle here again to cut a slit around the flower on this paper to allow my wavy strips to run across the page without covering them up. I had a lot of fun layering the matching chipboard elements and punchouts to create flowers with lots of dimension. CUTE!
Sunshine Girl - I love the soft colors of the Lucky Me collection and decided to create a layout with soft colors and limited contrast, yet lots of texture. The background paper is from the beautiful Andrea Victoria collection.
Happy Halloween & Wicked - If you know me, you know that Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday! So of course, I couldn't wait to play with My Mind's Eye's new Halloween collections. I love the whimsy of Boo to You with it's cute little glittery monsters! The Spider's Web is so wickedly beautiful . . . I'm thinking I need to alter something for me house with this elegant collection!
Thank you to My Mind's Eye for having me! I'm having a blast so far and never want this month to end. :D
Check back next week to see my next My Mind's Eye project!
See you soon!
Jana
