NEW Shimmerz Colors!!!!

Caribbean Sunset Spritz
Island Salsa Blingz
Tickle Me Turquoise Shimmerz
and Jilted Jade Shimmerz

The DT is putting up all kinds of projects today on the blog using these fun new colors. Oh yeah! and PLUS, there is a GIVEAWAY going on to celebrate the new colors!!! YES!!! LOVE giveaways!!! So be sure and go enter on the Shimmerz Blog while you are checking out all the projects!!! :D :D :D

I am just loving these fresh, juicy new colors!!! Check out the projects I've been using them on!

First, I have a layout about my daughter potty training (YAY!!! We're almost done!). I used the Jilted Jade Shimmerz and the Island Salsa Blingz to change the color of my title letters. FUN!!! I also used the Jilted Jade Shimmerz to change the color of just the center pearl on the flower centers accenting my journaling block. Finally, I applied a color wash of Jilted Jade Shimmerz to a sheet of bookpaper and then cut out a circle to make a layered flower. :D :D :D

Next I created a Birthday Card. Yes, I know. My card isn't as fabulous as what you normally see on the Shimmerz blog! LOL! But I gave it a go, so be kind! ;)

I used the Shimmerz Caribbean Sunset Spritz on the bookpaper circle. I used the Jilted Jade Shimmerz, Tickle-Me-Turquoise Shimmerz, Island Salsa Blingz, and Gold Glimmer Blingz to paint the lamps. And then I painted the background cardstock with the Jilted Jade Shimmerz for a shimmery card base. I hope this card really "brightens" up someone's day! :)

Supplies: Shimmerz Products: Jilted Jade Shimmerz, Tickle-Me-Turquoise Shimmerz, Island Salsa Blingz, Gold Glimmer Blingz, & Caribbean Sunset Spritz; Cardstock: American Crafts & unknown; Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket & My Mind's Eye; Stamps: Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Other: Thread, Embroidery floss, button, bookpaper.

Finally, I have one more layout (can you tell I was addicted to using these colors?!! :D :D :D ). On this one I used the Shimmerz Caribbean Sunset Spritz to accent a few spots on the background sheet as well as the diecut flowers. I used my Basic Grey Rubon Tool (with the rollerball tip) over my flowers on top of a foam pad to make the flower petals curl up.

Supplies: Shimmerz Products: Caribbean Sunset Spritz; Patterned Paper & DieCuts: My Mind's Eye; Letter Stickers & Ribbon: American Crafts; Pearls: KaiserCraft; Brads: Making Memories

Thanks for Looking!!! and Enjoy those New Colors!!! Aren't they FUN?!!!!

  1. LOL! The card is great!! But I know what you mean, when I do a card I feel like it's flat. It would certainly brighten up my day.

I played with my new Shimmers last night, actually went thru my old pages to see what I could paint them on!
