How are ya?! I hope you all had a nice Father's Day weekend! :) We managed to sneak away for a few days to my Inlaws' beautiful cabin. It was rainy, but the kids still had a great time going on four-wheeler rides and playing with their cousins.
The "memorable moment" of this trip was getting our car stuck in the muddy road at 10 p.m. the night we arrived. We didn't mean to arrive so late, but we kept getting stuck in construction and accidents on the way up.
When we arrived at the road that goes to the cabin this is what we found.
Being a guy, Kevin thought for sure we could plow through if we stayed on the right side. Well, our trailer carrying the four-wheelers pulled us to the left and we sunk into the gushy mud. On one side of the car we couldn't even open the door (the mud went up to the silver line on the car door). The kids were freaking out, but then we decided to turn it into an adventure! :)
See the water-filled tracks? That's right where we were stuck. This picture is deceiving. When we were unloading the car and stepping in those tracks the water went to mid-thigh. YIKES! :)
We unloaded the four-wheelers, pulled the kids through the window and proceeded to take several rides back and forth to the cabin, carrying kids/luggage/groceries with no coats on in the rain and dark. It will definitely be something we'll never forget. And no worries . . . we did get the car out the next morning with the help of a friendly neighbor who has a BIG truck and several tow ropes. :)
I have a couple of new pages to share with you using Noel Mignon kits. The first page I have for you, is one using the brand new Five Foot Two kit (only 5 left!). I love the feel and colors of this kit! Perfect for all kinds of summer activities! You have red and blue for patriotic pages and juicy pinks and greens for those picnic photos! Very fun!
This page is about my kids coming home after school and raiding the kitchen. They are so hungry that they start to pull out as much food as they can and pretty soon the kitchen looks like it has a buffet set up in it! LOL!
Everything but the buttons are from the Five Foot Two kit. :)

Do you like to edit your photos before you print them? I am NOT a great photographer, but I feel like I can fake it a bit with the help of a photo-editing program.
I really couldn't live without my PhotoShop and LightRoom programs. They help me make my photos brighter, sharper, and more fun to scrap! :D Let me show you what I mean.
The photo in the layout below was actually a casual snapshot that I took of my daughter while we were playing outside. With the help of LightRoom I tilted it, cropped it, and added a fun preset action to give the photo more of a staged feeling. I included the before and after of this photo, so you can see the difference.
Isn't that AMAZING!!!! Now I'm no photoshop expert, so don't feel like you have to be. BELIEVE ME, if I could figure out how to do it, so can you! ;)
Everything on this page is from the delicious Rise and Shine kit (Sold Out).
Thanks for stopping by!
