May BackPorch Memories Solo Kit

Seriously! I LOVE you gals! I've been smiling ear-to-ear with all of your sweet comments on my post below! XOXOXOXOX!!!! Hugs and kisses to you all! I hope we meet in real life someday!

If you haven't read that post yet, you're going to want to and leave a comment, because on Sunday night I'll be drawing a name to give away some goodies! Woohooo! Gotta love a little blog candy! It's just my way to celebrate and thank all of you for over 10,000 views to my blog! Seriously! That's just CRAZY! I never imagined I'd EVER have that many visits! So, THANK YOU!!!!

*************************

Today's the 10th and that means that today is the day I get to post my BackPorch Memories projects! Have you seen the Solo kit this month! *Jaw dropping here* I LOVED playing with the Magpie collection . . . and goodness! . . . that butterfly stamp in the May stamp set is a MUST-HAVE! Okay, . . . onto my projects! ;)

I decided to use the Bazzill brads in the kit as oversized polka-dots on my page! :) You just gotta smile at big, dimensional, red polka-dots! They make me happy! :)

This layout ended up show-casing all the yummy supplies in the May Solo Embellishment Pack. LOVE those vinyl rubons and the Making Memories journal blocks are a classic in my book! (Note: The polka dot Scenic Route paper was dug out of my dusty stash! LOL!)
Have you noticed yet that I have a thing with buttons lately! LOL! I can't get enough of them! This layout was inspired by a Becky Fleck sketch that will be featured in the May Newsletter! I LOVE sketches! I can't wait to see how the other designers interpreted the same sketch! So fun!

I wish this photo did the colors of this card justice. It is very muted looking in real life, but in a very funky sort-of way. It's hard to tell, but I layered two of each butterfly together and then bent up the wings of the top one for a flutter-y effect.
This last card, was one I almost threw away, but it ended up being my favorite! Isn't it weird how that can happen sometimes, if you just keep at it? The twig for the birds is actually the tree stamp from the May Stamp Set. I turned it on its side and trimmed a few branches to make it look more like a twig for my birdies.
Thanks for coming by! See you on Sunday! :) Oh! And have a HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY! I hope you get lots of scrappy toys and time to play with them! HUGS!
