I promise I haven't disappeared . . . I've just been a little sidetracked this last week. Since the house passed the four-way inspection, decisions have been coming at us left and right. The sheetrock will be done this week which means we'll be painting soon. YAY! But at the same time, that means I have to know colors for everywhere in the house . . . and that means it needs to coordinate with cabinets, hardwood flooring, carpet, etc. etc. etc. Sooooo . . . instead of scrapbooking, this has been what's been covering my table the last several days. :)
On top of driving all over the valley to pick up interior samples, we've been taking drives to see brick and rock on homes so we can get the exterior materials ordered in time. It's been really fun, but I miss playing with paper and I'm itching to do some creating. :)
I also need to acknowledge that I've been tagged two different ways by two of my dear friends, Tami and Ally. I PROMISE I will get to those, but it may take me a couple more days. ;)

Now for some scrappiness. The BackPorch Memories kits are again DIVINE this month. I don't know how subscribers pick between the two of them (Solo and Medley) because they are both so dang fun to work with! This month I got to play with the Solo kit featuring paper by a brand new company, GCD Studios! Here are the things I came up with.
This first one is using the March Sketch by Becky Fleck that will be featured in the BPM March Newsletter. The letters and felt embellishments are from my stash. I also have to add that I absolutely LOVE the tape runner rubons by Daisy D's. Seriously! I NEED to go and buy every single one! Super fun to use!
The colors in this kit were perfect for some of the photos from my recent trip to the Caribbean. And check out that COOL netted ribbon that comes in the kit! YUM! I actually cut it in half lengthwise for this layout. I love how it suggests coral from the ocean. :)
This picture of my mom and my youngest daughter is a few years old. I LOVED it the moment I saw it, but had forgotten to scrapbook it. I came across it and decided now was the time. I can't believe how little Camryn was!
Here's one for my niece of her first birthday. Perfect colors to go with her cake and balloons. And the March Add-On stamps are a really fun set. Be sure to go check them out!
I'm one of those mom's that can't stand to have a big wallet. Therefore, I don't really have a place to stash the pictures of my kids to show off to people. I decided to use the Scenic Route Chipboard Ovals in the kit to create a tag to hang on my purse of my four sweeties. Simple, but I think it turned out cute.
Thanks for coming by. I'm sorry I've been a distracted blogger lately. Hopefully the decisions on the house will end soon and we can just sit back and watch it all come together. (Yeah, right! LOL!) One can hope! . . . I promise I'll try and do better. I'll be back soon with my tagger info! Betcha can't wait! ;)
