Bella Blvd, Part 2

This has been such a FUN week of blogging for me! It's been a pleasure designing all these projects for these AMAZING manufacturers and being able to showcase all of these new products on my blog. I want to thank each and every one of the manufacturers that contact me for allowing me the privilege of working with them. This is such a fun industry! I love the creativity of it all, but more than that, the people I have met doing this are cream-of-the-crop! THANK YOU!!!

For my final CHA post this week, I have a mini album and altered project to show you using the new Bella Blvd. Estate Sale and All Inclusive collections.

I've been wanting to do a mini album about "my girls" for awhile now. But when I opened my Bella Blvd. box and saw this collection I knew it would be perfect for this project!

Pink Paislee: Queen Bee Artisan Album

The new Artisan albums by Pink Paislee are delicious to work with. I really love the canvas cover . . . perfect for altering any way your little heart desires. :)

Here is what I did with my 6 X 12 album.

Looking Back: 2009 Album by Jana Eubank
(Click on images for a larger view.)

With six chipboard pages, I knew this would be the perfect year-in-review album. :) I printed off my favorite pictures from each month in black and white, and then added list-style journaling about what happened each month.

I came up with a page design and then used that throughout the book, but changing up the patterned paper combinations to still keep it interesting to look at.

Thanks for coming by!

Want a Chance to Win Adobe Illustrator CS4?!!!

Hi Scrappy Friends!!!

I HAD to come and tell you about this because I want one of my friends to win! Hehehehehe!!!!

Noel Mignon is having a contest and up for grabs are TWO chances to win Adobe Illustrator CS4.

Here is what you need to do to be elligible:

This will be running from today through Feb. 5th, 2010. The winners will be announced on Feb. 8th.

This is a 3 step contest:

1st step, you must become a fan of NoelMignon.com on Facebook (existing members...you are cool...you are included too!)

2nd step...you must write on the wall which DT member referred you over to the fan page.

3rd step... you must click over to the "boxes" tab up top and click for your team.

The team with the most referrals is going to be the group which I pick the winners from!! So you will want to invite others to join in and use your team leader as the referral. Because 2 lucky people from the top team are going to win a copy of Adobe Illustrator CS4!! YES 2 people!! So you will have 2 chances of getting your name drawn if your team is the leading team next Friday night! So get your buddies to join in on your team!

Now, if you are already a member of course you are not forgotten...just add your name on the wall and claim a group! Then be sure to head over to the box section and vote for your team!

This will be fun...and be sure to spread the word! There will be one entry per person, and you are only allowed one vote. Good luck, and may the best team win!! :)

Good luck, friends!!!!

Pink Paislee: Winter 2010 Release

Are you ready for some Pink Paislee?!!! Oh, gosh! These collections are HEAVEN!!! PURE BLISS, I'm telling ya! You know the kind, . . . where as you play with them, you get that euphoric feeling of being a crafy diva . . . A surge of creativity . . . the feeling that the possibilities are endless. :D :D :D The bottom line, these collections are just plain FUN to work with!!!

Here is what I made for the Pink Paislee CHA Winter 2010 booth.

LITTLE POSER - Bayberry Cottage Collection & Artisan Tape

If you love to handcut elements from patterned paper, you are going to love these collections. They are a hand-cutters playground! :)

How can you not help but SWOON over these colors, patterns, shapes, letters, and brads?!!! :D

THAT LOOK - Bayberry Cottage Collection, Artisan Elements & Artisan Tape

I used Shimmerz Hottie Pink Blingz to paint the Artisan Elements. Next I spritzed them with Licorice Spritz by Shimmerz Paints and then used a gold metallic cream rubon as a finishing touch. These are so fun to alter . . . definitely a fun element for the artistic types! And! If you want to leave them plain, they look just like beautiful fondant wedding cake appliques . . . you really can't go wrong no matter how you decide to use them!

TOOTHLESS GRIN - 365 Degrees Collection

Yep. I'm pretty much in love with the Fabric Pleats. Love the instant texture, and love that there are soooo many ways to use them! They are the kind of product that makes your page feel like you spent HOURS on it. Love that!

THESE BOYZ - Queen Bee Collection

Isn't that frame stamp GORGEOUS?!!

Check back tomorrow for pictures of my mini book made with the Queen Bee Collection.

See you then!

Cuttlebug Challenge #68: Vintage

This week the Cuttlebug Challenge girls were challenged to create a layout with a Vintage Vibe using Crafty Secrets. I am the newbie, so I didn't have any Crafty Secrets to play with, but I did my best to create a Vintage-y feel using the Noel Mignon Object of My Affection kit.

The Fancy Pants floral paper was my jumping off point for this page. I loved the way it looked with this picture of my husband and daughter walking on the beach. I created my own page accents using clear packaging and my Cuttlebug Textile Hearts combo die/embossing folder and Frills Borders embossing folder.

I gave the clear accents a whitewash with some acrylic paint and then used Tattered Rose Distress Stickles on top for a sandy effect. :)

The chipboard hearts are painted with white acrylic paint, a wash of Shimmerz Pink Pearlz, and more Tattered Rose Distress Stickles. I added the Stickles to the Making Memories heart accent, as well, so that everything would coordinate.

I hope you will come and play along with us at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog! What an inspiring place to be!

************************************

This week I challenged myself to scraplift a scrappy friend of mine, Deanna Misner. She has such a great style and I couldn't wait to try this page of hers.

Page by Deanna Misner

Scraplifting is one of my favorite things to do. It gives me a chance to apply my own style to the page designs I admire and love created by others. On this page, I used the shape of Deanna's circle page to ground my photo-grouping. Next I interpreted her ribbon strips underneath her photos as paper strips across my page. I added a sticker grouping to the top of my main photo to imitate her bingo card tab. And then finally, I tried to emulate her beautiful handcut flower sprays with a sprinkle of stars on my page.

Page created with the Noel Mignon PAPER DOLL kit.

Thanks to Deanna, for always being an inspiration to me! ;)

See you tomorrow!
