Cuttlebug Challenge #65 is going up on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog today. WooHOOOOO! It's my very first one . . . and I had so much fun with it. The challenge was to put the focus of our project on the color WHITE. I always have a hard time with monochromatic pages *blush, blush* . . . so let's just call mine WHITE-washed. ;)
I immediately thought of these recent pictures of Camryn playing in the first snowstorm of the season. I grabbed the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder called Morroccan Screen, my Noel Mignon "Dear Santa" kit (sold out), and Baby's Breath Spritz by Shimmerz.
I anchored my photo-grouping on an embossed and SPRITZed piece of white cardstock (click on photos to get a better look). The pattern of the embossing folder mimicked snowflakes and the Baby's Breath Spritz made the texture shimmer like a sunny snowbank.
Next I took the Basic Grey doilie paper from the kit and cut out 3 snowflake shapes from the center. I built my layout on a 10.5" X 10.5" sheet of patterned paper. when I was finished, I mounted it onto a contrasting sheet of pink patterned paper by My Mind's Eye (to give it some POP), and then onto the remaining sheet of Basic Grey Doilie paper (covering the snowflake holes).
Come on over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog to see what the other designers created for #65. :D See you there!

ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous layout! I've been following your blog for a few months now but this is my first comment as I can never manage to catch the "Comments" to click on it - your blog won't move up or down for me when I pull the cursor down the sidebar & if I click it it does move but ever so slowly - then suddenly it responds & shoots up & down maniacally lol! I still click in every time you have a new post thogh - just have to watch really quickly as your layouts whizz by like shooting stars! From all the comments you get maybe I'm the only one with this problem but I don't know why it is because I follow lots of other blogs & yours is the only one that doesn't sit still...just thought you would like to know in case others are also experiencing this. What I've been dying to tell you though is that I also have a little girl named Camryn - who is 9 - and I have NEVER until I read about your daughter - come across anyone else with that name & spelling. Lots of Camerons but not Camryns. We call her Cam & Cami a lot too...just love the name!
